Yeah the Brits are soooo proper, one more serious bombing attempt and some of the most racist people on the planet are going to go all out to start killing people, their cops and nutcases have started.

LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — A black teenager who was followed through a park by a group of men shouting racist taunts died Saturday after an attacker embedded an ax in his skull.

Anthony Walker, 18, was waiting for a bus with his girlfriend and a cousin when a man started shouting racist taunts at them late Friday near Walker's home in Liverpool, police said.

The three left to find another bus stop to avoid any trouble, police said. But a group of three or four men followed them through a park, and Walker's companions saw someone bludgeon him with an ax.

They ran to get help and returned a few minutes later to find him with the ax embedded in his skull, news reports said. Walker died early Saturday.

No arrests had been made in the attack.

"What we are dealing with here is a vicious and unprovoked attack on a young black man which we believe to be racially motivated," said Detective Chief Superintendent Peter Currie, who was leading the investigation.

Police said several other incidents of racial abuse had been reported in the area recently.

Horrible as this news is, i must say the amount of ignorance you display here is simply astounding, it is really the kind of typical american I-know-it-all-kind-of-ignorance that makes me want to vomit (no offense intended for americans in general who frequent these boards, most of you don't belong in that category).

You don't think stuff like that happened after 9/11 in NY? If you don't, I can assure you it did, foreigners had their newsstands burned down and were generally being given a very hard time. A friend of mine lived there at the time and he saw lots of that first hand, admitted, he didn't see anyone being killed with an axe in the street, but that is really besides the point.

This is about human behavior, not british, not american, but about people being scared and acting in ignorance and stupidity because of this fear. It is not about one nation being more or less proper than another, but simply about fear, humans have a flock mentality and while a single human is actually pretty smart, a herd of humans is perobably one of the stupidest things on earth. Especially when said herd is scared shitless because of terrorist attacks.

Instead of pointing your ignorant fingers here Kylere, you should sit the fuck down and be saddened that this happens in our world even if we say we are so civlized, because it does and it happens in America too.

Last, for all we know, this could have nothing to do with the bombing, but yeah it is probably likely that it has something to do with the fear from the bombings and the hate some stupid people harbor for all foreigners after these episodes. It could also just be about good old fashioned stupid ignorance and racism though. We don't know that and by jumping to that assumption you look a lot like a stupid redneck which you accuse others of being.

The really funny note is that England tries to pretend as if it is an enlightened place. Still rednecks, just different beer names and less guns.

I would only want to add that what happened to the young man is simply horrible. I pray that God has mercy on his soul... and that God is not nearly so merciful to the poor excuses for humanity which perpetuated this crime.

It's just that people are so desensitised to it, it pretty much goes unnoticed.
