KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Florida (CNN) -- NASA officials said Monday they might go ahead with Tuesday's launch of the space shuttle Discovery even if a fuel sensor problem recurs that scrubbed the flight nearly two weeks ago.

Heard an intersting thing this morning on the radio.
"Since when did we start considering space travel safe. Your sitting on a launch pad on top of a rocket that is going to explode in a way you hope can be controlled and your going some place where there is NO ATMOSPHERE, let that sink in for a moment. Safe, right"

In uneasy reminders of the Columbia accident, a thermal tile apparently got chipped and other debris whirled around Discovery as it rumbled toward space Tuesday, but it wasn't clear if the shuttle's sensitive skin had been jeopardized.

Great photos, looks like a bird hit it... and it shows where the tile came off

Man, they can't catch a break =/
I just hope they can get back to ground ok.. with current tech there's just no way to do space travel without risk, but another fireball re-entry will kill the shuttle program.
