Okay whats the deal with no one going to BG's now? Stormreaver BG's are about as empty as Paris Hilton's brain. I constantly hear rumors about how the hp's are distrubted now, meanwhile blizzard does nothing to help maintain the popularity of BG's and ppl keep bitching about everything from horde/alliance population to exploits from the other side. BG's were the one thing that made the pvp server not turn into a total gankfest. I've decided to let me account stop until I hear better things. Anyone feel the same?
I'm going to live forever or die trying

There's almost always an AV BG up on Sargeras, unless one finishes in the wee hours of the morning, then it's usually a bit before enough people get on to start one up again. WG, well.. it's fairly empty atm. Not enough incentive to do it I guess. I tried a few times, but it took too long to bother with. Hopefully after the patch people will feel more motivated to do them and get their rep up.
I think the biggest problem with BGs on most realms is uneven distribution of players. They really need to start consolodating some of their servers. They have more servers than they need really.

It seems like the only people who do Warsong against alliance on my server are the high end horde guilds. It makes winning a big rough, since they will come in as a well equipped raid group and alliance will be a pack of 60s in decent gear, and a bunch of 51s trying to shout orders.
I go into AV a bit, however PVP has really gotten me bummed out. Alliance is full of idiots. I was really hoping they would be drawn more towards horde because of the cool looking characters. I just can't dig AV anymore. I might go in every so often, kill 500-1000 people, hoping that I got enough CP from those kills, and call it a night.
People are saying there is like a 3:1 or 4:1 ratio of alliance to horde on my server. I could believe it. Alliance always has mega wait times on their BG while horde aren't even waiting.

I re-cancelled after dealing with people on the Horde side in the battlegrounds. I don't know what the wait times were on the Alliance side, but there was maybe a 5 minute wait max for Horde. I was doing CTF with my Druid, and as soon as people saw one particular Alliance guild going against us.....they all started leaving. The fact that they wouldn't even try was pissing me off. I think I had about 30 different people in one session.

Consolidating servers won't fix the problems with BGs. Making the queues cross server would help, but there is just such an overall population imbalance that no matter what, the Alliance will be waiting.

I can only imagine the ungodly trains two groups of Hyjal Alliance would make in one AV!Avestan wrote:you could also set it so that alliance could fight alliance or horde vs. horde is the number are that much mismatched.

The fact that the front runners (mages tanks and rogues) actually stop fucking fighting to ninja corpses and whore all of the faction has as much to do with AV flopping on Lightbringer as the pop imbalance. Just toss the damn looting already and give faction to people who are within a certain distance of a kill. The bunches of AFK leechers didn't help either....
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .
Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.
