Ok, music is entirely subjective and all, but aren't Static X shit?

It's pretty good. My favorite song so far is Dirthouse, but many are pretty catchy. I really liked Shadowzone as an album and this new one seems to fall along the same lines of style. Shadowzone was quite a departure for Static-X, but I thought it was in a good way.

Btw, anyone who says a particular song/artist is shit in the audiophila form is really being a petty cunt. Why don't you post your latest purchase/DL and let me tell you what I think of your taste in music?

I think it's more like 'shit by association'.
If s\/\/33tK4st1/\/gS likes it, it's shit.

Ok Fairweather, I will post it, but be aware I could care less about your opinion (it being subjective and all remember).

Latest listenings - Jeff Buckley, Live in Sin A
Radiohead - Pablo Honey
Tool - Live in Perth
John Frusciante - Curtains
Bjork - Gling glo
The Mars Volta - Deloused in the comatorium

Ok, I may be being "a petty cunt" by calling out someones taste, which I am not even doing but I just happen to think Static X are a bit rubbish. Sorry!

I downloaded it. It took me longer to download it than I spent listening to it. After 45 seconds it was gone! I'm sure some people may find it enjoyable but I'm not one of them.

Well, both of you really put me in my place! Who could argue with such unbelievably good, well rounded taste in music such as yours? Your musical opinion is not only valid, but trumps any and all other reviews of the genre I have ever read. Really, who am I to call you out on being a petty cunt when I have never heard Jeff Buckley live in concert, or the croonings of Venus Hum, a band most certianly at the top of thier musical game.

Please, by all means, continue one liners about others taste in music. You've earned the right simply by displaying your sheer, unabashed love for Blue Man Group and The Mars Volta. Your obvious mastery over the fine art of music has made me want to hear even more one liners about music you dislike. Please, accept my sincerest apologies and continue on your life's journey to enlighten the masses.

I am all for people having the right to like whatever music they like.. But Fairweather, you have no right to bash people for saying music is shit, people have just as much of a right to think that as well.

There is no rule here saying you cant express your distaste for shitty music. And as far as I am concerned, any music (pretty much all heavy metal) with no talent in the guitar department and some dude screaming at the top of his lungs deserves to be called music, its shit - and I really wish that all the suicidal singers, and gothy wrist cutting fags that listen to their music- would just go through with it and finish the job.

say what you want, but the only conclusion I can come to about someone who can truly say they like something like static x , mudvayne, slipknot, etc is that you obviously have NO taste in music at all - thus negating your right to even speak your opinion about music, sorry chief.

Im more into 80's Metal.. Metallica is my favorite band, i like AC/DC and stuff like that... but im into the new rocks, w/e is on the rock station at my house, but I think System of a Down, Static-X, Mudvayne, all have different sounds, and thats what im into, their different and i like that. So what see if i give 2 shits if you dont like the music, its something i can bop my head to, maybe sing along, music is music IMO.
