Interesting movie with plenty of good momments. Overall, I feel it did drag a bit towards the end. It felt like a 1 hour story was stretched into a 2 hour one. I had the whole thing figured out almost from the start and I feel most people will do the same. From that point on, it's just waiting for the movie to explain everything to see if your hunch is correct.
The acting was top notch and the cinematography was excellent. There were lots of underlying themes present throughout, but they were all pretty obvious when they were used, taking away anything smart or subtle the film could've offered.
Christian Bale was awsome. He looked like a holocaust victum from a WWII Nazi camp. Even his eys were sunken into his head. His physical transformation for this role was breathtaking and you couldn't help but gawk at him whenever he was on screen, shirtless, which was a lot.
I give it a 6.5 out of 10. I feel it tried too hard to be a Momento-type clone and failed to really pull me in or make me really care about the main character.

Although not a fantastic movie by any stretch, it's definitely better than the vomit that had been chucked out in the theaters as of late and think it should have gotten a wider release. I really wanted to see this on the bigscreen but it was only playing in New York and LA.
I'm truly amazed he went this far for the role and it really shows, not just in the physical aspect of his weight loss but in the way he potrays Trevor's sense of exaustion. I love it towards the end when he finally snaps.
Overall it's definitely worth one or two watches but it does drag at times.

Oh, and your poet Eliot had it all wrong:
THIS is the way the world ends.
