Best sunscreen?

No holds barred discussion. Someone train you and steal your rare spawn? Let everyone know all about it! (Not for the faint of heart!)

Best sunscreen?

Post by Canelek »

It has been one hot bitch here lately...couple that with me being on the water 3-4 days/week and my Irish ass is fit for fitting back in with my former homeland of Arkansas.

Yup, I have farmer tan, bigtime. Face/neck/arms -- dark as 7-11 coffee--- the rest of me--fishbelly white.

I have been using Banana Boat sunscreen SPF40 for a while and like how it is not that greasy but I figure there is something better for protection--especially when on the water.

What works best without leaving a greasy feeling?

Coppertone Sport. Waterproof, sweatproof, light cream that is non greasy and long lasting. It works on long bike rides in the Houston heat, it'll work anywhere and in any condition.

What Tenuvil said... I'd add, get the spray on variety. Much easier to apply, dries quickly and works well. I use it all the time while training, and I assure you it's sweatproof.
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

Ah yeah! I used to use the coppertone sport spray while kayaking out of channel islands harbor. Good stuff! Thanks. :)

And yeah, sometimes it is not so warm so the shirt stays on, hence the horrid tanlines. =/ Trying to even that out.

Ouch, I nailed myself in there. :P

Perhaps a pair of bib-overalls is the ticket then. ;)

...seriously though, now that it is warmer outside, I can work on evening out a bit at least...I managed to lose the fishbelly-white thing this morning, but it will still be a while.

sunscreen is bad for you... it stops your skin from producing vitamin D.

The pasty look is in! Only the Italians and French in their bikini swimsuits still worship the sun. Keep the hat, shirt and sunglasses on! Just stay no to spray on tans too!

This guy thought a tan would help. Even an orange one!

You aren't from Michigan!

I have heard from Sylvos that man batter is the best sunscreen. Apparently it is what keeps his delicate Alabama skin from turning all pink in the glaring Oregon sun.
