Low Morale among Insurgency?

New Iraqi government sworn in, but Cabinet vacancies remain

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- The U.S. military said Tuesday it has seized a letter from Iraqi insurgents believed to be intended for Jordanian-born militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi complaining about low morale among followers and weakening support for the insurgency. The authenticity of the letter -- which the military said American troops found Thursday in a raid in Baghdad -- could not be independently verified.
Would definitely be good news, especially in the face of what seems to be increased insurgent activity lately.

Great news if it's authentic.

Unfortunately I don't think that is the problem.

Is it just me, or did it take a lot to depress these guys? People in north america jump out the window when their stocks take a dive.

Maybe we could recruit terrorists to teach us coping skills. It seems a waste to just keep letting them blow themselves up.

U.S. Rejects Canadian Rejection of DMCA

Slashdot readers may recall that last month Canadian policy makers rejected the DMCA for Canada. Not so fast apparently -- the U.S. Trade Representative has released the annual Section 301 report which each year tells the rest of the world that they need stronger intellectual property protection. This year Canada is a particular target -- the U.S. plans to conduct a special review of Canadian policies and explicitly rejects Canada's rejection of the DMCA. A good summary on what this means from Canadian law professor Michael Geist.

This leaves us little choice but to reject your rejection of our rejection.

DMCA is utter crap...I'm surprised our government didn't support it.
