Hunter Patch Notes

Post by Mort »

Patch Notes 1.4.100

Fixed a bug that allowed hunters to stay alive while in combat. Hunters now have a 50% chance of dying for no apparent reason at any time.

Fixed a bug that allowed hunters to occasionally win PvP battles. Hunter will now just beg for mercy and/or spontaneously die while in PvP, as originaly intended.

Fixed a bug that allowed pets to possess interesting traits and skills. All pets now function much like panda pets and/or mechanical squirrels.

Fixed a bug that allowed hunters to do damage equivalent to their level. Hunters now do damage equal to that of a naked, barefisted level 15 Warrior

Fixed a bug that allowed hunter pets to run next to hunter. Pets now run in slow-motion well behind hunter and eventually disappear, as originally intended

Fixed a bug which allowed hunters to keep pet state at 'happy' by using food purchased at vendor. This has been fixed. "Pet food" will now only be available from Onyxia/Molten Core drops and will decrease pet happiness, as originally intended.

Fixed bug which caused pet to do 75% damage when unhappy. Current patch causes pet to suddenly attack owner when unhappy, dealing 75% damage plus 50% durability penalty.

Fixed a bug that allowed hunters to find guns and bows in-game. All guns and bows are now epic world drops.

Fixed a bug that allowed hunters to get ammo for their ranged weapons. Ammo now is only available from player characters at 100 silver per unit of ammo, or drops from Cannonmaster Willey.

In order to augment hunter role in Raids, added new hunter-only /getsnacksforraidmembers command which allows hunters to get beverages and other refreshments for other raid party members.

New test server platform has shown a sudden 50% dps drop in pets. Note: this was NOT intended. Drop is now 100%, as originally intended.

welcome to the same world as every other class in the game (except for shamans), where you have advantages and disadvantages, and aren't playing the game in god mode like you were in the first six months of release.

there's a reason about half the game population is hunters.

shadow priests take a semblance of skill to play. hunters just send their pet and turn on attack and go afk to post on forums about how weak hunters are.

but no, I don't play a shadow priest.

Hunters were in God mode til they nerfed pets.
Our DPS was still out of wack however.
Why?
Cause if im paying attention and actually playing i can outdamage all melee and casters on a raid.
Easily.
Good nerf, keeps us inline without being slaughtered.

Shaman aren't nearly as useful @ 60 as they are from 1-58. Still a decent class, but lacking raid utility IMO.

Seeing as how the raid game is a piece of shit I'm not too worried about not being "as useful".

Back in the day, k was the baddest hunter on the server. I got used to ignoring the warriors and just healing her pet.

if you were walking around and you came upon a tulip with tits, would you let it be for the rest of the world to enjoy.. or would you pick it and carry it off to a secluded area to motorboat them?

I have a L50 Hunter. I can solo even con elites and +4 ordinary mobs. My win:loss ration in PvP is about 6:1.

Clearly there's a problem. . .
