Boonen was incredible these last few weeks. This is a real shame for Hincapie as this is probably his last look at a Roubaix win. At some point, when Ekimov retires, both Hincapie and Armstrong are going to be fucked...

Boonen's performance this year has been surprising, especially compared to last year...when Johan Museeuw retired VN claimed there was no Belgian rider ready to take the throne as the next heir to Merckx. Seems like another strong year for young riders with Petacchi and Boonen leading the charge. Where has Damiano Cunego been this season?
