Lance on Jim Rome this morning...
Did anyone hear the interview? I was stuck in a comm. room at the time and couldn't listen.
Just curious what he said. Jim had said that Lance was pretty pissed about the recent allegations, and was looking to comment.
Thanks in advance.

LOL. You guys are assholes.
I love you all.
Just listened to the interview in it's entirety (much
for the Internet). Lance basically issued a full and direct denial. No Bonds-esque bullshit, just a plain, no. He also said he hopes they keep his urine and blood samples for a good ten years so they can run any test they want on them in the future, because he does not, and will not ever use performance enhancing drugs.
Perhaps more interesting is that the steroid that Williams is accusing him of using is for people who want to bulk up and get strong (ala Bonds or Romanowski) and Lance pointed out that something like that would pretty much be the opposite of what a cyclist would want to use.

Track sprinters like Ben Johnson have been caught taking testosterone, Dianabol and other old-school anabolics so yeah, certailny the Petacchis and McEwens would benefit from it, all arounders and climbers not so much.Kelshara wrote:Just a stupid question since I don't really know the answer.. would that kind of stereoid be more for the sprint specialists?
because the guy's a vindictive angry idiot that let his anger at losing the wrongful termination suit cloud his judgment...wait till Lance Inc. hits him with the defamation of character lawsuit afterward!Kelshara wrote:Oh and it raises a question why somebody who knows quite a bit about the sport would choose an idiotic stereod like that to accuse him of..

It's hard to say honestly, Kelshara... cycling sprints are a bit different from like a track sprinter. I think you'd still pretty much benefit more from something like EPO than one of the ones that like Marion Jones would be using.
In the interview, Armstrong also said that the time this guy is claiming to have found the drugs was just prior to Armstrong returning to Spain to begin his European season. As though they'd been carelessly left in his bathroom over the off-season... Armstrong commented that having anything like that in plain sight and labeled would be idiotic.

I heard the interview. Dude called right away from Spain after asking to be on the show via email when [Armstrong] found out. Lance basically said FUCK ALL YOU FUCKING ASSMONKEYS.
Works for me. Armstrong has always been a pillar od the sports community...he answered the allegations in anger, as would many honest individuals...right away, no dodging, etc.
Let's see those fags such as McGuire, Bonds, the NBA, etc do the same...

Lance Armstrong is seeking at least $125,000 from a former personal assistant who contends he found a banned substance in the cycling champion's apartment last year.
In court documents filed Friday in Austin, Texas, Armstrong called Mike Anderson's claim "below the level of tabloid journalism."
Armstrong, in Europe preparing for a bid at a seventh straight Tour de France title, has maintained he does not take illegal drugs. The cancer survivor frequently notes he is one of the most drug-tested athletes in the world.
Armstrong asked a judge for the monetary award for legal fees, inconvenience, harassment and other expenses related to the litigation.
Anderson's claim was "an egregious character assassination founded upon a demonstrably false string of sensational, untrue and fabricated allegations," according to court documents.
Anderson worked for Armstrong for about two years and contends the cycling great made promises to him to him start a bike shop. Anderson's claim of a banned substance came in a brief filed Thursday.
