noone really reads movie board and i guess this is somewhat an appropriate place to post...simply it was fucking brilliant, one of the best i have ever seen, to sum up the plot...
kenny dies, is revived and found to be in "a persistant vegitative state" yet heavens armys need him to be fully dead in order to defend heaven (in a helms deep fashion) from satans armies, because kenny was really good at a video game god put out to find "the one"
satan needs kenny to stay in a persistant vegitative state in order to conquer heaven, his new boyfriend, the emporer from star wars uses the republicans to do his bidding

They managed to make fun of lord of the rings, sony psp, terry chiavo, republicans, keanu reaves, and the matrix all in one episode. I would say best episode ever but the ending was a little on the dumb side.

I think it did top, or came close to the Garrison episode

Jaw dropped when I saw that one.

I also think what makes this one great is just the timing of it all. The very recent spoofs of the things in the news is prolly what shocked me so much about the episode.

Sony must have paid Trey Parker and Matt Stone huge money to get the Sony PSP as one of the main parts of this episode. "The Sony PSP was made by God.." was a great quote. "Silly *insert Angel here, don't remember which*, don't you know Japanese people don't have souls?!"

Adds a bit of surrealness that Terri Schiavo died today after South Park spoofing Kenny dying in the same way.

They were spot on in saying that this should be a private matter for "Kenny's Family", and not brought out and televised on national television, spot on in how the media got involved as well.

The Keanu Reaves statue was awarded to Kenny after he won the battle was a little odd but funny in a way *golfers clap to Kenny*

I thought that was more of a reference to Wormtongue from Lord of the Rings, not the emporer from Star Wars.

Definately a reference to the Wormtongue fella from the final two LoTR flicks.... after all, the massive army of hell and the many sequences around that were derived from scenes from those very two movies...plus the mannerisms of the SP character were pretty close--the sniveling, treacherous and cowardly advisor to a 'T'..

A solid episode, and the best of the season so far.
