I'm sure the guy did many good things for a lot of people. I don't care for the man personally, because I think he is a swindler. He used peoples insecurities to get rich.

True...I kind of agree. But still I can see why someone would hate Jerry Falwell. The thing is Midnyte made that statement without even knowing the person...At least if you are going to do this kind of thing don't judge someone on their nickname.

I would think the "fascist" bit came from Falwell's hand in the Moral Majority organization, one of the first ultra conservative religious groups that advocated censorship and limiting individual freedoms.

Comparing Dime and Falwell is somewhat ridiculous. By all accounts, Falwell was a self important hypocrite, a "leper messiah" and, like so many evangelical church leaders, a person who enriched himself greatly at the expense of his flock. Dime, while a foul mouthed child of Satan and chronic pot smoker, was generally loved and respected by all who knew him. Go figure.

you may not have agreed with "dimebags" lifestyle but he never tried to force his lifestyle upon you...falwell's agenda involves forcing everyone to abide by his personal code of morality, i dont wish him death (were harsh words) but i do hope that fucker has a miserable exsistance until he is able to open his eyes and realize that his past has been based upon an authoritarian ideal that involves killing off several civil liberties, if one day he were to take up and denounce his past, and promote a libertarian ideal of freedom then i would forgive and stand behind him...
