Ray

Post by Hesten »

Saw Ray last night, and i must admit that i was VERY positively surprised.

I havent seen Collateral, so my experience with Jamie Foxx have been the stereotypical loudmouth trach black guy sidekick, or other stereotypical roles where it seems everyone try to do their best to look like Eddie Murphy.

But damn, that guy can ACT. I didnt see Jamie Foxx in Ray at all, i only saw Ray Charles. I must admit that i know next to nothing about Ray Charles life, so cant say much for how correct the movie display it, but DAMN Jamix Foxx are good. He deserved that Oscar he got.

I only saw him as Jamie once when he was sitting down at a desk. It was like his laugh changed for just a second. That was the only moment that I saw him though. I never thought he had that kind of role in him, and I almost didn't watch it just because he was in it.

Aye. Very good movie. I didn't see Jamie either. Ray was more of an asshole than I ever thought. The story about his little brother though was just so heart wrenching.
