I thought there was a lot more evidence to convict Robert Blake than there was to convict Peterson. I am a supporter of the death penalty but I just don't think the evidence supported it in Peterson's case. Too many questions that gave reasonable doubt in my opinion.

The guy died his hair and tried to flee the country with a large amount of cash. They found concrete in his boat, and he almost admitted to killing her to his girlfriend. There was other stuff too, but tose were the most commonly known ones.

I guess the moral of this story and the OJ trial is simple. If you are going to kill your significant other, make sure you are a celebrity before you do it.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

Make sure you don't kill someone who is likeable either - and also, wear gloves that don't fit!

i *LOVED* Blake's public comments afterwards. They cracked my ass up when he said most of his friends and family were "Commode Scum".

who the fuck cares?
no one on this board to my knowledge knows scott peterson or the other guy, the jury made a decision based on evidence we are not familiar with, so why is it anyones business what goes on in these individuals private lives

america is really growing on this "peeping tom" syndrom with this reality TV, tabloids and this bullshit...i really see it as pretty unhealthy

Is it any of your business to tell us it is none of our business? Last I checked, trials could be attended by anyone therefor the public has the right to know. Don't know about you, but I sure would like to know if someone got off even though evidence pointed towards them.

True, but I agree with Xzion in principle. Sure it's your right to attend court and find out what happened, but do these things really need to be on Headline News? Reality TV shows are a great example of this mentality.

Couple of days ago I hit CNN for the first time in ages... of the 'Top Stories', 3 were about TV shows and 1 was about Michael Jackson....

Made me remember why I never go to those worthless sites. I get more actual 'news' from Fark.

Yeah, one of the main front page headlines was that American Idol made its first major cuts. That at the very top of the page where the top 4 or so headlines reside.

Pretty lame Voro!

Ok I'll bitch a little aboue HL News..

On Headline news recently they made it have primetime shows...mostly about hollywood stuff...

WTF is the point of that? I thought it was called headline news because I could tune in at any part of the day and get a brief description of all the days events...

There was zero hard evidence against Peterson. The fact that they sentenced somebody to die on gut feelings and circumsticial evidence is frightening. I am certain he did it, but the evidence simply wasn't there.

That said, Blake was guilty as sin.

Because sitting on your big McDs fed butt in front of the TV is less effort than having a reality based existance? Concerning yourself with other peoples affairs is much more entertaining and easier than taking care of your own.

We are just following the example of Europe I think 90% of the reality shows we watch are remakes of theirs.

huh? Seems like every show I have seen back home has started here.. I must admit I don't really follow them whatsoever though so I might be wrong about this.

Don't go to bed, with no price on your head
No, no, don't do it.

Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time,
Yeah, don't do it.

And keep your eye on the sparrow.
When the going gets narrow.

Don't do it, don't do it.

Where can I go where the cold winds don't blow,
Now.

Well, well, well.
