Manly Potato Salad recipe (not for girls!)
I got this recipe from a friend of mine after trying them at a very cool super bowl party. Very manly potato salad... The flavor is pretty rich, but they're really good.
Ingredients:
4 Baking Potatoes
1T Chili Powder (or more -- to taste)
1T Paprika (or more -- to taste)
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
3-4 Green Onions thinly sliced
4-6 strips of bacon finely chopped
1/3-1/2 cup of mayonaisse (to taste)
~2T Olive oil
Prehead the oven to 375.
Cube 4 baking potatoes about one to one and half inch. Throw the potatoes into a 1 Gallon Zip-Loc bag. Mix in Paprika, Chile power, salt and pepper to taste (you're trying to flavor the potatoes, not cake them with spices). Shake the bag to evenly distribute the spices. Add olive oil to the bag, and continue shaking until all of the potatoes are coated.
Remove potatoes from bag, and place them on a cookie sheet. Bake until potatoes are fork tender.
While potatoes are baking cook 4-6 strips of bacon. Once bacon is done chop bacon into small bits. Thinly slice stalks of green onion. When potatoes are finished mix all ingredients in a large bowl with approx 1/3 - 1/2 cup of mayo. Add salt and pepper to taste. You can also add a pinch of cayenne if you like things hot.
Serve while potatoes are still warm.

k well...
For starters, Sylvos has shitty taste in foods. He never likes anything tasty and is a picky eater!
And for number 2 - I can't be held accountable for the strange craving for potato salad I had yesterday that overshadowed my memory of whether I had posted about it before!

P.S. Oh yeah I wanted to try that cardiac arrest one looks TASTEEEEE

Just for Sirensa:
I promise girls will like it. I made this for a work pot-luck lunch, and every woman there asked me for the recipe afterward. Bon appetit!
New Potato Salad
2lbs. New Potatoes, washed well
3 tbs. white wine vinegar
1 tbs. dijon mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
1/2 cup olive oil
2 tbs. minced fresh chives
2 tbs. minced fresh parsley leaves
Place the unpeeled potatoes in a medium pot. Add water to cover and bring to a boil. Simmer until potatoes are tender when pierced with a long skewer, about 15 min. Do not let the potatoes become mushy or soft. Drain the potatoes and set them aside to cool slightly.
Meanwhile, whisk the vinegar, mustard, salt and pepper together in a small bowl. Whisk in the oil until the dressing is smooth. Cut the slightly warm potatoes into 1/4-inch-thick slices. Toss the potato slices, dressing, and fresh herbs in a large serving bowl. Mix well and adjust seasonings. Refrigerate potato salad for at least 2 hours or overnight.
