I've had it on my HD for a couple weeks now, but I haven't made myself install it. Is it actually any good?

All the Splinter Cell games have been top notch, as far as I'm concerned.

I played the first two on PC and then tried the Xbox demo for the new one.
Didn't much like it on Xbox. I may have to grab it for PC.

Is it any easier to play on the PC than the XBOX/PS2? There's too damn much stuff to remember as far as controls with the console versions.

FPS and Stealth variations are always hands-down, better on the PC, if you ask me ;) That said, yes, the graphics are sharper and the controls are far more versatile.

Grabbed the full game (XBox) off the newsgroups. This game is awesome. The controls, sounds, gameplay, visuals are as good as they get. This is the first Splinter Cell games I've tried. I'm not a fan of spy type games but this is great.

Metacritic's 96 rating is dead on:

The camera angles, lighting, graphics, and sound are all a step above most games.

I give it a 9.5/10 in solo mode. It supposedly has dedicated levels for COOP play that I'll have to try out the next time a friend is over.

Edit: Watch the training videos before playing.
