best picture of 2005 already decided

Ridley Scott (the best director alive today) is finishing production on a crusades epic "the kingdom of heaven"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0320661/

Although english historians are upset about the script due to it shows muslims in a favorable light and the crusaders as savages, i have no doubt this will be the best film of the year....2 epics gone wrong in 2004 i cant think of any renewal better then a ridley scott film

Unfortunately most movies have this problem, though he's got like 12 movies in the making over the next 3 years.

First off, when I saw this trailer, I got shivers up and down my spine. It looks fucking amazing, and the only worry I had was that they may overly glorify the crusades...now it sounds like they aren't going to do that.

THE CAST IS AMAZING. Call him a pretty boy if you want, but Orlando Bloom is damn good young actor. Liam Neison is always the awesome, especially if you give him a claymore(thx Rob Roy). Jeremy Irons is an amazing actor and looks perfect for this role...

But, Ed Norton too?! It's a small part, but Ed Norton picks good movies to be in.

And to put faces to other great names in the movie...

David Thewlis - He played professor Lupin in the last Harry Potter. Also was in Big Lebowski and Dragonheart(bastard prince!)
Image

Brenden Gleeson - Braveheart, Gangs of New York, Cold Mountain, 28 Days Later

Image

Marton Csokas - Played Celeborn in LoTR, also was in Bourne Supremecy(the guy who fights matt damon with his hands tied).

as much as I think Bloom is the most beautiful creature to grace the screen in the last decade, his acting skill is rather shallow

No way thats true. To be an overrated actor, people need to A, think you can act, and B, consider you a "good" actor.

Hayden cant act worth shit, and i doubt anyone will think that his Anakin role are worth any price but a Razzie.

Sorry to disagree with you all but Keanu Reeves is a man among boys for the overrated acting category.

Seconded!! Now they are letting him ruin Constantine. If he had died after the Bill and Ted movies, we would remember him fondly.

Dude, Keanu's crowning moment was his role in Point Break. That was the perfect part for him. Keep him alive until after that at least.

As god, I would have had Keanu die instead of John Candy and then we would have had a really good Neo in The Matrix. Think of it, the matrix is all virtual...John Candy still could have done all the fancy action moves, even with his physical body looking like it did, while in the Matrix.

Hehe, i quite agree on that. Keanu Reeves are NOT John Constantine.
Sadly i never read Hellblazer before i saw the Constantine trailer, and looked like a "might be interesting action movie, matrix style" kinda movie, untill i started reading Hellblazer.
Now I wont even go near that movie, should probably be treated in the same way Blair Witch should (how you americans could find that frightening ill never know), that is, being dumped in a landfill.

most times yes, but...if people think you suck and you are overated, then you need to kill yourself is my point... my whorish danish friend.

I think Bloom's face is as much a curse as it is a blessing for an up and coming actor. He gets cast into the same roles in every movie, so we never get to see any range in his talent. I want to see him in some R-rated gritty urban drama, cast as some druggy punk, then if he sucks in a movie like that I'll agree he's not a good actor. Maybe I do overestimate him, but we won't know till he gets some different roles.

Onto Hayden Christiansen, I think he's underrated actually. I think the scripts for the 2 star wars movies are fucking horrid, because going by those movies alone I would also say that Sam L. and Natalie Portman are shitty actors too...and they aren't, only one who doesn't suck fat donkey balls is Ewan McGregor and even then some of the lines he had were pathetic... Go rent Shattered Glass if you want to see Hayden with a better script, I think he did just fine in that movie.

Bennifer.

Enough said.

Though Ben Stiller sucks mightily as well, as does Keanu Reeves.

Yeah, the casts of the star wars movies are good, just terrible writing and directing.
