Directx 9.0c

Post by Chidoro »

I am not exactly sure what the hell could be causing this but I get this message when I am trying to update:

The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP.
This software will not be installed. Contact your system administrator.

only other thing i can think of.... if you know the password for the real "Administrator" account that was set during install..

go into the control panel and into users/accounts... set the logon screen to the old type in method, and logout.. log in with Administrator and the pw and run the install.

this could be more accurate if i wasnt on a mac right now.

Thanks. This is certainly the issue I'm having, will give it a whirl when I get home tonight.

Edit: Method 2 worked. :)
Now I just have to update my 9700 pro drivers to be WoW ready, ran out of time before work this morning.
