Ok, has anyone played these yet?
I'm anxious to play the Punisher game and there is a demo of the PC version on their website (link later tonight unless someone beats me to it) and the commercials for Mercs make me drool.
Before I go and spend the equivalent of half a week's pay on either of them, can anyone comment on how good they are / are not?

i dont know much about the mercenaries game... although the commercials do make me wanna buy it and blow shit up. as for the punisher game... after playing through the demo countless times all i can say is " it's off the fuckin chain" .
i can play frank castle in any way i want pretty much. i can rush through gun slinging and take everyone out... or i can grab my sawed-off shotty and just walk around pickin fuckers off one by one. i can blow off damn near any body part i aim at. i can beat the shit out of a guy and interrogate him... and either execute him or just use him as a human shield from enemy bullets. there's also a shitload of a ways to interrogate people... so far my personal favorite is sticking the guys head in a pool of pirahna's and scaring the living shit out of him till he talks... and afterwards dumping his head in and watching the fishies eat the flesh from his face . berzerk mode is kick ass too... just wait till you see it.
there was soo many ways to kill in that game that i felt overwhelmed... and thats just the demo. so im hyped about the finished game.
knowing your tastes for gore... im sure this one will hit home with you.
I played the demo and didn't get even near that much out of it.. sounds like I need to boot it up again tonight.

Mercenaries is a fun game on the X-Box. All you need to know is it's like Grand Theft Auto in a war zone. You can hijack any vehicle but also have lots of weapons to mess around with as well.
Fun game, open ended but also has missions from all four sides in the conflict which you can jump around to.
Calling down surgical strikes using laser guided bombs is teh win!
One of the better games to come along in awhile.

I played the punisher demo on pc, game blows. I like the reviews "Interrogation is fun as hell!" What about the rest of the game? "uh, well theres interrogation"
