Stealth Nerfs

Post by Siji »

Correct me if these are old news but I've recently noticed them and am guessing they're from the latest series of patches..

- The BP's that have the effect of Invigorate can only be cast on the wearer now. I remember being able to use those to cast on others and having someone use it to cast on me before I got my own. Lame that this was changed so late in the game.

- Items that have a proc no longer show the level at which the item procs. Not sure what the purpose of doing this is. It makes buying things in the bazaar a bit more riskier for lower level twinks.

- The AE bard song apparently is level limited like other higher level spells. Also, those higher level spells no longer appear to work by being grouped with the caster and having them target themselves. This change appears to be old - I just didn't know about it I guess. But still lame.

And I'm still hoping that SOE comes up with an alternative way of getting POP spells from spectral parchments.. considering NOBODY is camping stuff that drops those damn things anymore. Much h8 for being without a single song I really want.

I got a couple specs on me, send me a PM and I can hand them in for you in game.

I never remember invigorate being castable on others. Maybe I'm not old school enough =/

The proc level on items seems to be a bug introduced on the 15th. Supposedly, it's been reported to the devs, and may be fixed soon (or not heh).

Invigorate was never castable on others. Meaning the effect on the Velious BPs.

I'd imagine the proc level not being shown is a bug.

Doubt that they'll change Specs. Better start camping!!

Oddly enough, I turned in an ethereal parchment to the cleric guy and received a 65 level cleric level spell.. I'd thought only 61/62 spells came from Eth parchments. The spells was however, a 62 ENC level spell.. but I turned the parchment into the Cleric guy, not the ENC guy. So.. my question is now whether they did change the parchment turn-ins, or can you get level 65 spells normally as long as they're 61/62 for another class?

Hmm..

I'm trying to remember this, and it's been a while, but if I recall correctly, there were some spelsl that were the same for a couple of classes. Shaman / Beastlord spells were one... maybe cleric and enc.. where you could turn in an etheral and get a spectral level spell.

I don't know if that's the same thing as you did though.

I know I'm good at what I do, but I know I'm not the best.
But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.

That spell would be pacification, and the reason you got it from a 62 cleric turn-in, is because people screamed bloody murder when enchanters could turn in their eth and get pacification, while clerics needed to hand in a rune to get it.

It's worked this way for a long while.
