A Mighty Wind

Post by Chidoro »

Shame Whale Rider wasn't in stock on dvd so I rented this.

What a great great movie. Seriously funny stuff in the vein of Spinal Tap. In fact, at least two of the actors (the wicked talented Christopher Guest wrote and directed it) were in Spinal Tap. Not that he isn't in just about every movie but Eugene Levy was a fucking pisser as well.

If you haven't already, check out Best in Show and Waiting for Guffman.
Same group of actors, totally different roles, same great stuff.

I'll vouch for Best in Show...what a great movie. I've been meaning to see A Mighty Wind for a while, but I keep forgetting to pick it up.

Sounds like a movie about farting but I'll check it out if I come across it.

Wow this movie has been out forever. I figured you all would have seen it before. I think you can buy it used for 7 dollars at Blockbuster.

Yes it is great and it even has a mini spinal tap reunion (I think 3 of the 4 as a different band). If you enjoyed this then do as the others have said and see Guffman and Best in Show.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

I got my laughs in, enjoyable film, not a constantly laugh can't breath type thing, but it has its moments.
