The Dutch George Bush?

I always thougt the Dutch were tolerant and intelligent. It looks like a few of them are a little wacko though. I was curious if this is a growing issue or is this just one man's opinions?

maybe in your deranged fantasyland.

george bush isn't for stopping immigration, nor is he for the removal of islamic people. plus his attitude on the middle east is far from 'thats their problem'.

As I understand it, there is a growing (but still very small) political party formed around the idea of cutting back on immigration that focuses heavily on Muslim immigrants.

The Dutch welfare system has had problems for some time with immigrants (asylum seekers, and refugees) moving to the Netherlands to live off of the state there. While there has been a problem for years, it hasn't been really resolved or addressed to my knowledge. It was predictable that the conflict in the Middle East and the concerns of terrorism would drawn attention to problems in Western countries; it doesn't help that The Netherlands contains vocal Islamic fundamentalist groups.

As a caution, I am not condoning the political opinions expressed by this politician.

I am condoning it. Sounds like he is doing what he needs to do to protect the people of his country. Which if I am not mistaken....is his job.

My Dutch Grandmother 'Beppa' was the bomb. Please lay off the dutch, they make one of the worst machine made cigars in the world .. that is an awful burden to bear.

There is a lot of trouble in the Netherlands right now and it will most likely get worse before it gets better. Been a couple of murders etc. Pretty nasty stuff.

Dammit, it better not get bad, thats where I'm planning on living after college. Though, I may not be such a pothead anymore by then so I dunno.
