Holiday Music

Post by Kindo »

Yeah, ok, so where have I been for 20 years? The other day I was driving home from work and happened to be listening to the local light rock station which is already playing non-stop Christmas music. I was driving along, tuning out the cheery sounds while thoughts of all I had to do ran through my mind, when all of a sudden this amazing trumpet broke through my thoughts and just stunned me. It's not very often that I experience that kind of almost religious experience from a few notes, but man, I tell ya, it was glorious.

Mannheim Steamroller. I'll be picking up one of their CDs (at least) to put me in the Christmas spirit. What music puts you in a holiday mood?

Sorry to say but I hate Christmas music. Well, not the idea of it. But having it played nonstop from Thanksgiving to New Years is enough to drive most normal people insane.

The only two holiday albums that anyone needs are Bing Crosby and Jim Henson and the Muppets.

A Charlie Brown Christmas!

I've always liked Bing Crosby Christmas or Nat King Cole, but in strict moderation.

Also, any instrumental music that brings that Christmas feeling works for me.

Zoe: No one's gonna force you to go, Jayne. As has been stated -- this job's strictly speculative.
Jayne: Good. Cause I don't know these folks, don't much care to.
Mal: They're whores.
Jayne: I'm in.
