Yeah, really.. now if he ran down a kid while drunk I could see it hurting him.

Personally, I think it shows good character for him to come out and admit his mistake without making any excuses for his actions. A similar incident happened to Steve McNair last year (he even had a gun in his glove compartment too). He showed remorse and regret and I don't think many people recall the incident today when they see him play.

A DUI isn't the end of the world. It sucks and may keep him off some conservative shows but it increases his value for shows like Superstar Boxing and Howard Stern interviews.

Ye Gods, you all are smoking rock.

Umm this is professional sports, as in Cocaine is okay if you can hit homers, dragging cops down the road is okay if you can run 10 yards, killing your wife and her boyslut is okay if you have the heisman, you can rape chicks if you can rebound hit a three and charge the net, you can rape chicks if you can throw a meanass right cross, you can drink and drive like a Cincinnati Bengal if you can even lace your own shoes on game day.

Get fucking real, white black or indifferent, being a sports star, a music star, etc puts you above the fucking law WAY more often than not, look at coke boy wife beater Bobby Brown, Child Molester R Kelly, Courtney Crack Ho Love, Pot and the Beatles, Taxes and British Stars etc.

Before some dumbass posts that he was an amateur, does that mean Michael Jordan was when he played on the Dream team>

Besides which, not much call for full time swimming stars, so his career was shot post Olympics anyways.
