I have a new DVD +- RW drive and was wondering about the media. It seems DVD-R media and DVD+R media are the same price these days and have similar characteristics (speed, capacity, etc). Which would any of you recommend and why?
I would recommend DVD+R. It is an all around better technology, and unlike DVD-R the spec was written with both audio/video and data storage in mind. DVD-R spec was pretty much designed for A/V.
