M3 Power, redux.

Post by Dregor Thule »

Quick question, don't think it was answered in that old thread about the Gilette Mach 3 Power, or whatever its ultra-cool name is. Do normal Mach 3 blades work with it, or only the Power ones?

I bought the M3 Power a few weeks ago. I used it and saw absolutely no difference from when I used the regular Mach 3. When I went to buy new M3 Power blades I saw that they were much more expensive than the regular Mach 3 blades so I just bought them instead. They fit... they work... no more hair on my face so I'm happy.

Gillette's "shaving systems" are integral. It should say on the handle package that it is compatible w/ all Mach3 carts. The same goes for the new Sensor3 which is compatible w/ all Sensor carts.
Gillette is all about trying to step-up their base to more expensive choices.

I almost got one, but then, it's not quite the kind of car that my mom or my wife exactly can drive (or will have fun driving)...

It's too bad though, if it had a normal Automatic, I'd be so there! =D

 Probably. I just have other considerations. =D I can drive stick, but don't because half the people in my family can't. My mom can, my wife can't, my sister in law can't. But I still wouldn't mind having one. =D

Ideally if it were auto it should have at least the tiptronic(steptronic? whatever they call it...) thing though.

But come on, that's not as terrible as a 2WD Jeep...

haha, I agree. Trust me, sit on the garden state parkway for 75 minutes crawling 25 miles each and every business day and tell me if you enjoy throwing a shifter around. If you live somplace where you can open it up, God bless, the M3 or AMG's will be great cars. There are more 7 series iL's on my stretch than Merc's C series, BMW's 330+ and anything that's more geared to sportiness over luxury, except, maybe the infinity g35. maybe

Just tell them what I tell me wife. M is for Men. When they come out with a W3, she can drive it...

I hear ya. Miami traffic is getting terrible by the day. That's why I don't drive in traffic any more. I either go in earlier and leave earlier or go in later and leave later. Even that is getting to be a pain. It's almost like the window when there isn't any traffic is disappearing, at least during the daylight hours.

I can tell you in SoCal here, I have pretty much the same experience. There used to be times when the Highway wasn't busy. Now even if it's like 11:00PM, there are still a ton of cars. Something has to be done about it...

But what?

Here are the problems:

Expanding the roads is only a temporary solution. In fact I don't think you can do it fast enough to keep up with the increase in traffic.

Mass Transit systems like light rail or whatever are too slow to build, and I think they're "Unamerican." American's drive cars.

Basically what I'm trying to say is I think we're screwed.

I'd be more interested in funding research to develop cleaner cars than riding a friggin bike everywhere. That's impractical in 90% of America. Besides we were talking about traffic, not the dangers of ecological carelessness.
