There is the link. Here are some highlights from RNC advertisments. These are not small bible thumping 527s, but direct from the RNC. Its becoming more difficult every day to not change my party affliation.
The literature shows a Bible with the word "BANNED" across it and a photo of a man, on his knees, placing a ring on the hand of another man with the word "ALLOWED." The mailing tells West Virginians to "vote Republican to protect our families" and defeat the "liberal agenda."
The RNC also is running radio ads in several states urging people to register to vote.
"There is a line drawn in America today," one ad says. "On one side are the radicals trying to uproot our traditional values and our culture. They're fighting to hijack the institution of marriage, plotting to legalize partial birth abortion, and working to take God out of the pledge of allegiance and force the worst of Hollywood on the rest of America."
"Are you on their side of the line?" the ad asks before making the plea to "support conservative Republican candidates."
Akaran of Mistmoore, formerly Akaran of Veeshan I know I'm good at what I do, but I know I'm not the best.
But I guess that on the other hand, I could be like the rest.
Cya! I'm sure the Republican Party is not going to miss your support.
Both samples provided are dangerously close to the truth. Close enough that the campaigns are completely justified in my view. I think they will be very effective too.

Funny how in Canada, I'm a dirty social conservative, but across the boarder I'd probably be taken out to the village square and stoned to death.
Jehova- OW!
Let's think the unthinkable, let's do the undoable, let's prepare to grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all. - Douglas Adams
kk, just checking. Wasn't aware he supported the republican party, and the sarcasm was lost on me - a WV inhabitant.

Dar has tried to prove that his Christian-hating homosexuality-worship is somehow tempered by his affiliation with the Republican Party even though he shares few or none of their values or goals. This thread is yet another example...
Dar, just a hint buddy, the Republican Party will accept your money and your vote, but they aren't truly interested in claiming you as a representative sample of their membership. Trust me on this...

All are true. Not sure how they are scare tactics when they are all true. Scare tactics is when Dems says the reps want to take away your health care!!
Agreed. We all know both parties are drooling to eradicate all health care!

That's actually what's discouraging. It is almost certainly becoming more and more true. The Republican Party used to be about small government, correspondinly lower taxes and taking personal responsibility. Now, more and more, they are into huge goverment, large social and corporate welfare programs and they stay true to their lowering taxes not by cutting spending but by borrowing more and more money. It seems the only thing that makes you a Republican is how loudly you thump your Bible. It may be that there is no viable small government party anylonger, only a Big Governement socially liberal party and a Big Governement socially conservative party.
Personally, I think Bush is an aberation. A "Godsend" for the religious nutbags in the GOP. We'll see. If all goes well, Bush will be trounced and the party will return to its roots.
