After getting back into gaming and viewing movies I have decided that my trusty 17"LCD is no longer optimal for my needs. I am looking for a flat panel CRT any size from 19" and up. Anyone have any suggestions? Of course I realize that I will be giving up a huge amount of space on my desk but still would like to find something as streamlined as possible and I do want as flat a display as possible.
Thanks for any suggestions
Monitors
Would suggest going with any Trinitron screen. Sony makes and sells these to other companies for use in their monitors so may want to look at Dell an Viewsonic I know they use them in a few different models. You could always go directly with Sony but their pricing may be higher.
Flat screen and very nice image in my opinion however I would suggest going to a store before buying them online and seeing if the wires holding up the screen bother you. Depending on the size of the monitor there will be two or three horizontal lines going across the monitor which hold up the trinitron panels.

I can see the lines all the time THEY ARE BURNED INTO MY BRAIN.
Err... Aslanna is right I really only notice them on light or white backgrounds. I can see them while gaming as well but that's only when looking for them. They really aren't that noticeable and the benefits of the monitor outweigh the lines!

Go to a computer 'show' (they usually have them at convention centers in larger cities) and get a used one. Retail price on new monitors is just so not worth it unless you are getting it with a package deal from like Dell or something. I have a 21" NEC CRT that I got for $150 at a show.

C'mon, I live in Little Rock, Arkansas. I don't qualify for a "larger city" designation. Although I used to love the 1st Saturday sidewalk gatherings in Dallas for buying computer parts and pieces. I wonder if those are still around....they usually have them at convention centers in larger cities
Edit: Found it. They even have their own website: http://www.firstsaturday.com/
I may have to plan a trip to dallas soon.
