The lyrics are the best part! Every metal cliche from the past 25 years all on one album!

haha, roommate just bought the album. I like the instrumental aspect, and I while I realize it's intentionally corny, cliche'd lyrics about all metal stereotypes it's still kind of annoying~ It's hard to take the music seriously.

This CD has been in my car deck pretty much nonstop for the past month. It's so satisfying to hear Niklas Isfeldt scream out "MMMMEEETTTTAAALLLLL!!!!" at the beginning of TBOHM. And like Drinsic said, the instrumental playing is pretty damn good for this genre too.

I guess since I lived thru metal's glory days and seen and heard all the metal cliches, it's comforting and familiar to me, like vintage Scorpions, Priest, Maiden, Manowar and Accept all distilled down into one album.

I found the music video highly enjoyable ;p

I have a friend that puts the CD on repeat for days on end, everytime I go to his house I can hear it as I walk in...

If you like Dream Evil, you'll probably like a number of the other bands under Century Media.

Nothing like a little Finntroll when you're in the mood for some Scandinavian power/folk metal!

There's a handful of bands I've heard that are on Century. Shadows Fall opened for Priest in Connecticut a couple months ago, they were pretty good. Napalm Death of course is the big W. I have a video of ND's singer doing Metallica's "Damage Inc." with Dream Theater, it's surreal.

Finntroll sounds intriguing. Scandinavian folk/power metal? Is this Drolgin's side project? ;)

Honestly, the greatest metal band of all time are the kings of metal themselves, Manowar. Here's a list of some kick ass metal:
Blind Guardian
Sonata Arctica
Stratovarius
Children of Bodom
Iced Earth
In Flames
oh and Manowar

If you download these and like em, i got a lot more variations of the same kind of metal.

Mmmm Manowar...good stuff. How many other metal bands actually have narration by Orson Welles in a song ("Black Death") ?! I must admit I haven't heard anything by Manowar in a few years but I'm going on a "metal hunt" with an old bud this weekend, perhaps I'll get a Manowar CD...

Stratovarius I know of through Dream Theater. One of the better prog metal bands. Timo rox!

Iced Earth...ehh. I used to like them till they hired Tim "Ripoff" Owens.

Manowar > All

I've been listining to a lot of HammerFall and Running Wild also... but the Manowar always seems to get back into the CD player somehow
