Shadow Priests...mmmmmm....

Post by Toshira »

Expecting major nerfwhack action with the next patch...getting 2 skill points per kill might be considered excessive...

Shadow Priests seem to be a Class that can solo Huge Gargantuan Monsters with ease!!!

at 40 I was getting 1 point per kill soloing mobs about 2-3 levels below me. 2 points doesnt seem unrealistic.

I could probably get two points per kill soloing a 40+ mob at 42.

you can't really get too much xp per kill because you actually get less xp per mob if you go over a certain threshold (presumably to prevent twinking). soloing a level 40 mob might net me 285 unmodified XP but soloing a level 45 mob would probably net me 150 Xp.

shadow priests are pretty powerful but all classes that have their talents so far seem overpowered to me, except for warriors.

What class gives the most challenge then?

Challenge : Not an easy class, lots of different things/options for a battle, you need to think more

A class that has to use different strategies depending on the encounter

Hmm. Druid was the first thing that popped into my head, they're very versatile. In groups they usually get relegated to healing mostly unless there's a priest there tho. But they have the ability to be a tank, a rogue, a healer, and some nukes/debuffs. Shamen are fairly versatile as well. Priest probably 3rd.

Ah! I like that!

Warrior-types are usually as mentally challenging as switching between 3 attacks and nothing else heh. Chop, Slash, Pierce rinse repeat.

Shamen and Druids sound most fun then!

it's 450 unmodified exp per SP, not 285 (maybe you know that though)

Exp isn't totally lvel based either. I soloed the priest on top of the temple in hinterlands (a 52+) and got 3 sp. No idea what's going on there.
