Jamal Lewis' trial date is set for November 1st, between weeks 8 and 9 of the NFL regular season. Further, it was reported during tonight's preseason game that Brian Billick will not play Lewis throughout the extent of the trial.
Any thoughts on fantasy implications? I have the 8th pick in my draft and was hoping he'd slide... but I'm not sure I'd take him there any longer.

I personally wouldn't feel comfortable taking him as my number one, but if he was around for a number two, I would strongly consider him. They are saying that his trial could be delayed and even if it isn't the trial should only take two weeks according to the lawyers.
The biggest thing that concerns me (assuming he is innocent and acquitted of course) is that if his trial is delayed, it can possibly take him out of your lineup for your league's playoffs.
