Terrell Owens playing the gay card?
http://msn.foxsports.com/story/2656912
Now why would he say Jeff Garcia is gay? Besides, Garcia is dating the Playmate of the Year. If that is gay, I know a lot of guys who are willing to be called gay.

Who really cares if he's gay these days anyway? The only one that may care is the center if he notices Garcia using up all the time on the playclock every down under the center or excessive ass pattage after plays.
It really isn't a big deal and probably cool to be gay at this point. Playboy centerfold bunnies can date you without having to put out but can still be seen hanging out with the famous people.

Although I have rooted for the Eagles the past two years to get to the Super Bowl and win, this year I hope they go bely up just to see who T.O. will cast the blame on this time. After all, he is perfect and no blame should ever be cast in his direction.
I hope the Raven's defense break his legs in the preseason game, Ray Lewis in particular.

Never liked TO anyways. But I am an Eagles fan, really dont care what he says at this point as I stopped listening to him a few years back. Except for comic relief there are quite a few people that shouldnt get air time.
If he gets us the Super Bowl, yippee, if he sucks ass and breaks his legs, yippee, if he just rambles about something stupid...anyone watching?

I used to love TO, being a longtime 49ers fan. After the last year of whining and crying though, I really began to despise him. No tact, and supremely immature...
However, you cannot deny that he is a top 3 wide receiver though, whether you like him or not. Physically, he's the number one receiver hands down: big and powerful, explosive speed, good hands. If he had the maturity of say, Marvin Harrison, he'd easily be the best receiver in the game. Oh well, good riddance to TO, I'm glad he's gone from the Niners.
edit: I attended San Jose State University, Garcia's Alma Mater, and had many friends from the football team. According to them, and according to one of the assistant coaches (who used to party with us and smoke pot), Jeff Garcia is indeed gay. After told this, I could more easily see the tell-tale signs. First, he talks like one, with the characteristic lisp; second, he has happy feet in the pocket, can't stay still (nervousness perhaps); third, after he takes a big hit, he never plays the same. He just wasn't very tough; would take one good sack, and play scared the rest of the game. Just theories, on my part. I tend to believe what the players from San Jose told me about him though.

Really close between T.O. and Andre Johnson. T.O. might be a little bigger( by like an inch and 5 pounds ) but I don't think T.O. can run a sub 4.3 40 anymore. Man it's gonna be fun seeing Carr and Johnson develop this year.Menelaos wrote:Physically, he's the number one receiver hands down: big and powerful, explosive speed, good hands.

I remember last year when they were making all the comparisons between TO and Randy Moss. Both were trouble players but the difference is that Randy Moss kept his mouth shut and performed way better than TO in similar situations. Moss would go up and fight for the ball where TO would wait for it to land in his hands.

I don't disagree that he's probably gay, but are those really characteristics of a gay guy? There are plenty of (I'm assuming) straight guys who don't play the same after being sacked or that have happy feet in the pocket.Menelaos wrote:second, he has happy feet in the pocket, can't stay still (nervousness perhaps); third, after he takes a big hit, he never plays the same. Those 'traits' have nothing to do with ones sexual preference, moron.First, he talks like one, with the characteristic lisp; second, he has happy feet in the pocket, can't stay still (nervousness perhaps); third, after he takes a big hit, he never plays the same. True , But it is the sterotype. Right or wrong that is how narrow minded people view Gay men.miir wrote:Those 'traits' have nothing to do with ones sexual preference, moron.First, he talks like one, with the characteristic lisp; second, he has happy feet in the pocket, can't stay still (nervousness perhaps); third, after he takes a big hit, he never plays the same. Ok ... Which T.O. have you been watching? Yes, he's big, with good speed and can be a playmaker, but in NO means would I ever attribute good hands to him - that guy has had fumbilitis for years now.....Menelaos wrote: Physically, he's the number one receiver hands down: big and powerful, explosive speed, good hands.
Let's not start turning him into some untouchable receiver.
He's got great natural ability, a HUGE attitude, and sloppy hands at best.
It's a stupid thing to say, but it's just a guy talking. Football players are as stupid as the rest of us. I generally regret past criticisms I have made of athletes who say stupid shit, because i don't really care anymore.
Like someone else said, I'll take Randy Moss over either of your big motherfuckers.

By that standard, Kurt Warner is the biggest flamer in the NFL. I don't even know what quarterback you're watching-- Jeff Garcia is one of the toughest fuckers on the planet.second, he has happy feet in the pocket, can't stay still (nervousness perhaps); third, after he takes a big hit, he never plays the same. Oh I'd take Randy Moss over either T.O. or Andre Johnson, but I was talking about the physical attributes of the top wide outs. Moss is an amazing athlete because of his speed, ability and concentration. However, from a purely physical stand point T.O. and Andre Johnson are arguably in a class by themselves.Sueven wrote:Like someone else said, I'll take Randy Moss over either of your big motherfuckers.

Lol don't get your knickers in a twist, you guys. Don't take me for a homophobic, narrow-minded asshole =P I lived in San Fran for over a decade, and during that decade I have perhaps missed 5 or 6 49ers games TOTAL. I'm a huge fan, and I loved Garcia as a player
Hell, his happy feet was one of the reasons he was good; god knows he doesn't have a strong arm. His ability to move and create time for himself was his strongest asset. Anyways, I probably didn't really articulate myself well enough, and seeing as this is obviously a sore subject for some, I'm not going to try to
I think it's enough to just say, I'm sorry.
OMG 7 fumbles in 8 years, 5 of them lost, and NONE in the past three years. How could you characterize that as fumblelitus? If TO has fumblelitus, then these guys are in trouble too...
Torry Holt
Marvin Harrison
Randy Moss
You fucking tool. You obviously don't know shit about football.
And btw, I never said TO was the best receiver, I said he was top 3. As a physical specimen, I said he was the best, simply because nobody in the league has his combination of size, speed, hands, and playmaking ability. Seriously, have you seen the guy? He's built like a greek god. He looks more like a linebacker...
I'll definitely agree Moss is the better receiver, perhaps the best in the league. Better hands, better instincts for the jump ball. But you won't see Moss break big plays on the ground, or break tackles. His big plays are always, without fail, awesome catches either on jump balls, breakaways, or fade routes. Owens made his life in Yardage After The Catch, partly due to him being in a West Coast offense not designed for the long ball. His big plays came by way of breaking tackles and faking suckers out or just plain outrunning fools. Mavin Harrison is the better receiver too though, imo, simply because of his precision route running and polished all-around game. Also because he has Peyton Manning throwing to him, as well.
Anyways, praise aside, I still hate TO for the way he acted in SF, and I hope he fails miserably in Philly, though I doubt that will be the case. He'll probably wear out his welcome there too though, if he doesn't get the ball enough...

Uh huh...fumblelitus...yeah ok. Why don't you pay attention to a guy's career before you say something brash and completely unfounded--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unless you have seen every single game of Garcia's career in the NFL like I have, you would not know what I am talking about. His numbers say otherwise, and ESPN characterizes him differently, but any true 49er fan who has seen most every game he has played will say he is soft. Some QB's can take a sack (and I'm not talking about a bone cruncher or anything), and still play his game. Any single sack, even a soft one where you just get dragged to the ground by your jersey or something, would take him out of his game.By that standard, Kurt Warner is the biggest flamer in the NFL. I don't even know what quarterback you're watching-- Jeff Garcia is one of the toughest fuckers on the planet.
