OK nm. It worked somewhat. It gave me a name of the virus, and diffrent files that were infected.

PE_Nimdaa, and a REG STARTPAGE.A

Yet they cant/ unremoveable. Doesnt say if itll remove anything anyways,so no clue if im stuck with it. Or I need to find something else to remove it.

Bah, NIMDA variants suck.

Go to http://www.symantec.com and do a search for NIMDA. They were keeping a two-floppy fix available for download.

This is a popular virus...so popular that symantec made a removal tool specifically for it. Yay for you...it's a free point and click removal as i'm sure you have found the tool on the website(you're gonna lose some saved emails and a few word documents). My stepdad got this one as I realized when I recieved the "sample.exe" email from him a few weeks ago. The removal tool worked fine and nothing was badly damaged.

Be thankful you didn't find a Klez that had executed :( .
Don't blame me if you see my old characters acting like asses.

I got the Klez...oh yeah baby.

Actually uninstalls some parts of your virus scanning software, so even if you think you're safe, you're fooked!

Get rid of the email preview window ladies, it ain't safe no more.

Holy fucking shit. I used this program just for laughs and it found 5 fucking infected files from the virus JS.Exception.GEN. I run a virus check 3 times a week with Nortons 2003. And it finds jack shit.

Raistin I just got rid of this virus. It was giving me hell for a few weeks, and I was having a horrible time getting it off of my network. I used norton, mcafee, pccillin etc and i just couldn't get rid of it. The tools that all these companies offer for auto removal didn't ever totally wipe the virus out and many times mcafee and norton wouldn't find it even though it was still there.

In the end I downloaded the free version of f-secure (30 day trial) and I am 99% sure its totally gone now.

PM me if you like, i can problably give you some more help if you are interested.

Raistin, check out AVG anti-virus if you've the time. It's worked rather well for me, and Grisoft has a free version (very limited features, but full scanning functions).
