So far, which side do you like better?

For those who have tried out both sides, do you like horde or alliance better. Don't take into consideration that horde is still being worked on quest-wise. Eventually that will even out.

Curious to see if there is a big difference and maybe predict a future trend.

I choose alliance only for the fact that they seem to have more/better quests.
Aka On alliance i've seen ONE collect quest 20 items or over, and ZERO timed quests by level 44.

On horde side i've seen 3+ quests with 20+ items (30 in most cases) and TWO timed quests..at level 26.

Sadly alliance races suck goat testes and thus, I'll be going horde in the end regadless of the asstastic quests.

Not sure if you keep up with the beta forums or not, but Kat has said they will be addressing the Horde areas soon, and that they will be just as fleshed out as the Alliance areas.

Yeah, that's why I said in my post not to take the quest imbalance into consideration because that will be evened out by release.

I prefer horde myself. Indifferent towards the undead tho, the big gaps in their armor to show their bones is kind of annoying. They also seem rather small compared to humans. I like trolls, they need some better artwork going tho, a lot of stretched textures and weird deformations, especially in the shoulder areas. I can't wait to see what they do with the more horde-ish armors they mentioned a bit back.

On the Alliance side I like all races except the Night Elves.

On the Horde side, I really like the Tauren and the Orcs, Indifferent about trolls and despise the undead.

What I will play at release is still very much in the air. Very much looking forward to trying the hunter.

i'm Horde all the way, while I will still have my Night Elf Hunter Sylvos (just like the 10 billion other people), I'll be sporting a Tauren Hunter at release. At the moment however, I love the horde, they have a better quest system in place and all around better content. I am eager to see how they revamp the quest rewards as well, this should prove very interesting to say the least.

Are racial abilities in yet? I'm curious how they're going to balance the fact that Undead will get pwnd by every pally they see...

Only the undead have there racial traits in.

Yes, they get pwned by Pally's & Priests. Priests have a spell called 'Shackle Undead' that root undead for 45 fucking seconds.

Fixed 45 sec duration? As in if it lands, you're stuck for 45 seconds? No partial resists?

Well, actually, at Rank 1 its 30 seconds, and it goes up by 10 seconds for every rank thereafter. Its not fixed, but "up to" that amount of time. 30 seconds is plenty of time for the Priest to wax the target in question.

Ah, but mobs still have sleep....the Druids in Wailing Caverns for instance. Those can be a real pain in the ass..unless you have a shaman with you, who can lay down a tremor totem, which will release pulses that wake any slept party member.

I do not see a single reason to play alliance at this point in time. Their quest system is ass and if you are a night elf, yeah good luck finding good quests.

night elf quests arent implemented yet; especially beyond level 15.

I will be playing alliance because I like playing humans. the retard to non-retard ratio on horde is also quite a bit higher. I have to hit myself on the head with a frying pan about 20 times before getting into a pickup group on horde just to be able to communicate with them. and I'm pretty sure that they are running some kind of chat macro that inserts the word "noob" in every 3rd word when they type, even if they are a lower level than you.

You have a large amount of B-net fanboi's playing horde now, which is kinda sad since their vocabulary is something you'd see directly off AIM chats. I however play with guild or friends only, if I see your standard run of the mill idiot running around, I avoid and carry on with my bad self^^.
