I started this and then got distracted by work so I may have left stuff off the list. I haven't had wafflehouse in years.

In-N-Out Burger is a fast food chain in the Southern California area (though some franchises have been spotted in Nevada these days). It is sort of like McDonald's, only really fucking good.

For national chains I'll have to go with Taco Bell.

But there's a nice americanized mexican fast food place called "Taco Casa" around here, best damn fast food mexican I've ever had.

I didn't add all the burger type places because that would make the poll nearly a page within itself. In our area, central-northeastern wisconsin, we have Hot n Now which sounds a lot like the In n Out places. Ofcourse our Hot n Nows are almost extinct. I loved their Olive Burgers.

Krystal? Is that near the In-N-Out Burger?

I dont really have a favorite. I just go to wherever I'm in th emood at that time. Subway, Wendys, Taco Bell, Burger King, etc. No McDonalds though.

Those new Chicken Onion-Teriyaki sandwhiches at Subway are good. Hard to believe they're low fat!

(Is it just me or does it look like Jared is about to get his ass kicked in that commercial?)

I did enjoy Carl Jr.'s when I was working in San Francisco.

The only thing close down here in Texas is Whataburger. Big Fat hamburgers and big drinks are the default.

....just finished reading a book called "Fast Food Nation." It kind of made me sick. I really don't think I'll ever look at McDonald's in the same way again - not that I liked them to begin with.

Anyway, I've been trying to eat healthier lately, given my rather sedentary job and penchant for computer games and books in my spare time. Don't wanna get the computer ass, if you know what I mean. That book just firmed my resolve to avoid fast food.

Still. I have a certain weakness for Taco Cabana.

And Hooya. But I'm not 100% sure that counts as fast food.

...a clown who cooks his french fries in beef tallow, and hides it under the guise of "natural flavoring" -- much to the chagrin of vegetarians everywhere.

/agree Vaemas - if I want chicken, it would have to be Chik-fil-A. They use real meat. McNuggets may contain as little as 15% actual meat, and not all of that may be chicken. The rest is tendon, sinew, skin, and bonemeal, as well as other fillers. Your average processed nugget needs to be comprised of something like at least 50% skin in order to bind properly.
