As long as we're deposing dictators, why stop in Iraq..

I say we glass over their biggest cities, just to let them know exactly what they're fucking with.

This is sarcasm, to many stupid people on this board to allow you to try to guess.

I think we should find out were they are stored and use covert ops to destroy them.

This pict may be a Red X but it's from the above article Adex posted. Do you think this guy dyes his beard? He doesn't seem like the type to be concerned with vanity but the non grey part of his beard seems a little too perfect!

On second thought, he does have the non framed glasses as well.
Western culture has creeped back into Iran. I saw a documentary about rebellious students playing western music, women not wearing veils, and basically trying open up a bit. Unfortunately, it's most likely going to be another Tiananmen Square type situation if the students ever decide to form a protest.
About 20 or so iranians attended the boarding school I went to in Switzerlend back in the 80's after the mess that happened in their country caused them to flee. Most of their parents had been booted or killed if they didn't make it out of the country. It's a shame the puppet government we placed there was so corrupt!

yep Iran has a middle class that is more or less pro-Western. THeir government is not representative of the overall sentiment of their society.
I think increasing our business ties with that country would be a good thing honestly , as long as it didnt have anything to do with supporting the military infrastructure. I'm talking about distributing music, software, PCs, etc.

Apparently, we didn't blow it up good enough. More blowing shit up may be necessary to truly impress the locals.
Funny part is I can actually see this kind of wording being used to explain the situation to Dubya.

Yes Kyoukan, give the savages time to let the power they behold sink in. They are, after all, savages who worship a different (same) and inferior (same) God as us patriots here in America, so of course they are stupid and must have a few days (months...years...) to let the greatness we just handed them register on their putrid, dull minds.

There is an inconsistency of tense here. The examples sited are all more than 4 decades old, while the the original sentence refers to present/future events. And to refute the most sophmoric rebuttle, there is no consistent set of arguments justifying the sited examples that also applies to the Gulf Wars. I do disagree with Miir's comment, but the counter argument is crap.Kylere wrote:Japan, Germany, Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Spain ( or possessions thereof), Italy all must have had oil and no capacity to fight back.miir wrote:The US won't invade a country with no oil and the capacity to actually fight back.
