The United States of America is NOT a Democracy. It is a Constitutional Republic. A true Democracy would be as unworkable as Anarkey.
When you enlist in the milatary you do so Volentarily. And most who do enlist understand that yes, they may give there lives for the People of the United States.
Oil? Even if this war is all about Oil, is there really any better reason for the Luxury starved American citizen? Do you realize how important oil is for our lives now? I'm typing on a plastic keyboard, conected to plastics laden computer components, by rubber like plastic covered wires, powered by electricity generated at a fosil fuel power station, in a automotive shop, wearing articles of clothing consisting of petroleum products, while I drink from a 7/11 cup shipped and transported by truck... Americans cannot give up Oil and the Luxuries it provides us. It has to come from somewhere.
War is horrible. War is a part of our history as much as sex is. The best way to end war for all time is to conquer your enemies and unite them with you. War has not happened between the states in the US for 145 years. Europe, Asia, Africa, south America? I dont think it's stopped. So apparently the best thing to do to end war, is unite all other countries to us even if it has to be by force. Its for the good of the world.
