Hey, you can't be ignorant AND stupid, and realise that the false conviction rate is far higher than 1% =) If Mid had his way they'd have monthy lynchings, complete with a taco stand.

That said, the death penalty should be on the table for all sex crimes.

Lynchings? No. The government you all hate seems to do a wonderful job determining who has been reformed and who has not. They would never release a criminal back into society who would kill again, rape again, rob again, etc. And if it were to not be 100% reliable you people would oppose letting them back out into the population because the risk of people getting killed, raped, robbed isn't worth it. Yes, however, I dislike Kyocunt very much. I have tried to reach out to her in PM's and come to a common ground, to no avail. Also, since I got XM Radio I have been listening to Opie and Anthony and rediscovered the joy of completely going off and free flowing on someone without regard of the other persons feelings or the way others might perceive you because of it.

OCALA, Fla. — A convicted sex offender apparently committed suicide in despair over signs posted in his neighborhood calling him a child rapist.

Clovis Claxton (search), 38, was found dead by his father with one of the signs beside his body. It was less than a day after his release from a psychiatric hospital.

His mother blames Marion County (search) Commissioner Randy Harris (search) for her son's death. Harris proposed putting up flyers in the neighborhoods of sex offenders to alert neighbors.

Sheriff Ed Dean objected. He says he understands the concern of parents but doesn't want to see hysteria.

Claxton's death follows the high-profile arrests of sex offenders in the separate killings of two Florida girls less than seven weeks apart. State lawmakers have responded by passing a bill to require lifetime supervision of some child sex offenders."

I agree tenfold.

And Voro and I share something that perhaps many of you may not...we are both parents of young children. There is a completely different level of disgust and disdain toward sex offenders (particularly pedophiles) that one feels after they become a parent.

Watching the news and seeing what happened recently in Florida made me feel sick to my stomach and red with anger all at the same time. There is an amazing and indescribable amount of love and protectiveness that you feel once you become a parent. It is almost like a switch is turned on at the cellular level that makes it painful to even imagine something or someone hurting your child.

I know full well that I would have to be locked up if someone did something to my child of such a heinous nature as raping, molesting or taking their life.

So as a parent, I agree and completely relate to Voro's thoughts. Whether they "served their time" or not, our criminal justice system does not mete out anything remotely close to justice nor does it "rehabilitate" these dregs of society.

I even saw a report where a pedophile told his prison psychologist that he would be willing to take salt peter, castration, shock therapy, behavior modification classes...anything...as long as they would let him out so he could get at a child again. Those are chilling words that I will never forget.

So you can call me unfair, unjust, prejudiced...and when it comes to this subject. But I am all for one less "rehabilitated" sexual predator roaming the streets.

There is another girl missing in FL today. WTF is up down there? I mean I really began to wonder when FL went for Bush but shit now they seem to have gone to hell in a hand basket!

Anyway I agree (as usual) with Vor's comment and with Aabidano's. Rehab usually dosen't work for these fuks, we need to make the punishment MUCH more harsh.

Looking at the offenders in my area I noticed 1 guy that looked... well, rather normal. Nice looking guy, probably a coach or something who looked like he probably did well with the ladies. WTF was in here there for? Well a friend actually knows the guy and when he was 21 he had an affiar with a 17 year old... now he is listed with all the other freaks. Personally I think that is different between that the others. If someone is over 15 and the person is within' a couple of years of their age... especially if they SAY it was consensual then that's not a sex offense.

Someone who kidnaps, rapes and murders a prepubscent girl or boy, that is a sex offender. Yea the lines are gray but I wouldn't hang the guy up by his nuts for a consensual affiar with a Sr. in High School (he wasn't her coach he went to the local college at the time) however I would be happy to kill one of those other sick bastards myself to make the world just a little safer for my boys, just give me the knife
