8 million could lose overtime pay
New labor rules would cost workers money, study argues
By Jon Bonné
MSNBC
June 26 — Up to 8 million U.S. workers could lose their right to overtime pay if Bush administration rules are put in place, according to a new study released Thursday. The new proposed rules would dramatically change who qualifies as a salaried worker, and which hourly wage earners are able to collect overtime.
This is going a bit too far. Do you imagine for a minute that most corporations or employers are not going to take advantage of this? Get ready for longer work weeks with no extra compensation. Also, for a President heading into an election year, to possibly marginalize 8 million voters in an already suffering economy..... Hmm guess we might be ripe for another attack on an "axis of evil" nation to carry us through the elections.
Of course, the blood from my bleeding heart could be clouding my vision on this issue.
A little too friendly to big biz

I just wanted to be the first person in recorded history to be the first post on two threads that covered the same content, and link them to each other. I wanted to see how confused people would be.Tuberok wrote:Begging many pardons for the repeat post. Gold star to Aranuil for cathing that in under five minutes after post

Don't beg my pardon, I'm just being an idiot!
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.
