Anyway to disable the banner?

It would be convenient if I (we?) could disable the banner on the forums while at work. I'm constantly scrolling them offscreen currently so people coming into my office don't see the dragons

Yea, I know how you feel forthe, and although Avatar's are 50% of the VV fun, I wish there was an option to turn them off also, so that at least there is a possibility of me looking like I am actually working hehe.

Download and run AdShield. Works like a charm, you can block specific images or whole sites that host images. I personally block the banner as well as all of the huge gay sigs that people have, and a couple of the larger avatars.

Unfortunately there's no built in functionality to disable avatars, but there might be some hack somewhere. We shall investigamatate!

Click on Tools -> Internet Options... -> Advanced Tab -> Uncheck, Show Pictures.
