If you're a Wire fan and haven't picked up Read & Burn 1 and 2, do yourself a favour and snag Send..
It's groin grabbingly good.
If you're not a Wire fan, pick up and listen to the following albums in the listed order.
- Pink Flag
- The Ideal Copy
- A Bell is A Cup Until it is Struck
These guys were the precursors to so many cutting edge bands, it's not even funny.
Some of my favorite Wire in the past 25 years.
Colin Newman : Bastard (His most ambitious solo album)
Wir : The First Letter (w/o a drummer some of the strangest music they have ever done)
Wire : Snakedrill (Live) (Next to Pink Flag, Wire's finest recording)
Wire: Drill (9 versions of their most annoying song)
He Said : Take Care (Interesting Ghram Lewis side project)
Wire : Send
Moderators: Drolgin Steingrinder, Truant

Wire isn't really a 'singles' type band.
Most Wire fans will probably disagree with me on the best songs on any given album.
Pink Flag is just brilliant in it's entirety. If I was forced to pick a favorite it would be 'Three Girl Rhumba' or 'Fragile'. The album has 21 tracks and is only about 35 minutes long.
The Ideal Copy is the album that really got me into Wire back in the 80s.
The most accesable track off it would be 'Ambitious'.
'Ahead' and 'A Serious of Snakes' are standouts.
My fiancee really enjoys 'A Bell Is A Cup'.
Her favorite track is 'Kidney Bingos'.
My personal favorites are 'Boiling Boy' and 'Silk Skin Paws'.
If you're a fan of the Strokes, Interpol, White Stripes or bands like that, you'd really enjoy Wire's 70s albums (Pink Flag/Chairs Missing/154 ).
