For any of you interested that don't browse fatwallet.com or slickdeals.net. I just bought a 160GB 8MB cache HDD for $82 after rebate from Staples. Here's a link to the deal http://www.slickdeals.net/?from=2003-06 ... 6-30#p3295.

I also got 512 MB of PC2700 for $43 the other day from crucial http://www.slickdeals.net/#p3302.

More than likely you will have to get on the online support at staples site for the hard drive deal and ask them if they have it in stock somewhere else, since most stores are oos. Feel free PM me if you have any questions.

Funny thing is, I remember back in the day people thought the same about like 500 meg harddrives...or even 80 meg ones a while before that.

Did you try talking to a customer service rep? The site told me OOS as well, but after talking with customer service, they found several at another location.
