I thought this zone would have a key quest to it so that it took us a month or two to get into the place and give em the time to tune stuff like they always do.,..

Snooped Veskar info in the mother-fucking house:
I am a level 63 Rogue, with Shroud of Stealth... and let me tell you... that zone is HUGE!! Just from guessing, but it's a maassive dungeon the size of Sebilis at least. Mostly because of how the pathing works.

You zone in... go left up a ramp into a warren of decaying and broken rooms. [2 named mobs in this area - Lord Silas that drops Shiny Pantaloons, AC 25 +8 Int pants with some other stats too. And Champion Karzek or something that dropped an AC 25 Robe with +Int/+Mana and some other nice stats.]

Follow the winding maze down, swim through a tunnel of water and you pop up into an area with rotting peasants, and such. Go through the door on the right then left into an open area with a pool of water in the center. Trooper's here. Didn't stay long here, so unsure about names.

Up some steps to the left and you have two choices on where to go. Straight ahead leads into an area with monk named mobs like Master and Grandmaster. Unsure of named mobs here as well, I was looking for the mob that drops Gomdurig [14/23 +5% bs mod dagger].

If you go right from the steps, you see this huge column of energy that I believe is holding up the roof of Veksar. The only thing keeping it from collapsing in on itself and flooding the zone. Lots of kunark style golems in this area. There are two paths you can take from the energy column.

One leads through a build that has a named mob, the Undying Blacksmith, drops a 32/34 +stats 2hb weapon. The building has lots of mobs named a store clerk, shopkeeper, etc. The other path is up a broken ramp on the far wall. There's a partially hidden doorway leading into an area with a ton of spellcasting mobs, diviners, curates, initiates, etc. Unsure about named, didn't kill anything there.

The path through the caster area leads back to the monk area. There's also a third are from the energy column and there's a named mob in there. Didn't get to kill it, someone beat my group to it. Hierophant something or other. Dropped a decent tank helm.

Through the building with the shopkeepers, you drop down to an ara that has mobs that can be level 63 (such as "a noble crusader") that gave me 3% AA. We killed this mob with a 62 Ranger tanking, 54 druid and 52 shammy on heals, and myself and another ranger, 51, for dps. Wasn't too hard, but certainly not efficiant.

Would be a great spot to trio or group with some 60+ peeps. The only problem is the crawl you have to do to get there. However, if you have a mage, sos rogue, and a rezzer, you can bypass the crawl completely by sending the rogue to camp, kill the mage near the entrance and drag it through one of the fence walls that seperate the various areas from each other, forcing you to "crawl" through the place.

You can then rez-click the mage corpse through the fence-wall and the mage can then CoTH people through. Just around the corner from the nobles building is the chef/cook camp that drops the Gomdurig dagger. I didn't get one , but someone earlier got two of them in about 4 hours. So no that rare. I was only there an hour and then our chanter perished cause of distractions and we were without a rezzer.

I didn't find the dragon area... or the "pink toilet room" as some people were calling it on Vazaelle... so I still have yet to see the rest of the zone.

Anyway, have fun. Veksar is an awesomely beautiful zone that has great xp, great loot, and easilly accessed via the FV portal stone in PoK.

I spent almost all day yesterday in Veksar with Krakkerz and another beast. Our group of four (3 bsts and 1 cleric) stayed in 'the shop' the majority of the time, with the undying blacksmith, and rotting shopkeeper being the 'named.'

They dropped a decent shield, bp, haste belt, and 2hb weapon. A 12dmg/20dly sword drops randomly off the golums up there, and also a mid-level robe. I believe the Feral Lord named drops the Kylong shin things..decent stats.

I'm rather impressed by the tuning of this zone. The mobs seem to have just the right ammount of hp's to be challenging, but not ridiculous.

First part has regular goblins, do not see invis. Second part up the ramp has undead mobs, do not see through invis vs undead. Didn't bother checking after the sinkhole. Mobs summon. If you're in the elemental planes, you won't be using any loot from there I suspect. However, I did gather about 5 tradeskill components, including some veeshan scales. Hopefuly new recipies are on the way ~

What level are the gobbies up front? Thinking of taking my 56 bst/clr there.

Bleh, everything sees through hide/sneak just a little way in.

Looks like a fine zone for a death pact conga line when some goober trains.

Green/Light blue at 65 so I'm guessing they are 43-46 around zonein. I moved up the ramp to check others out but groups were keeping iit fairly clear so I left.

Yeah that was my feeling after visiting it on Test. Unless the zone has the GY feature, hope your cleric doesn't die. It's going to be tough to CR if you made it a decent way in. Bring a friendly corpse summoner with.

it wouldnt be a Kunark dungeon without the possibility...no liklihood of a corpse summoning every trip in =).

shit though it still wont take 15 mins to CR, buy the boxes in SH (probably in PoK), click the stone run to LoIO, faster than a GY anyways =).

i'm looking forward to the first time i train the living shit out of that place, leaving piles of vahshiir and froglok corpses in my wake!

What's funny is how crwded that zone has been, while Hates Fury has always been nearly empty, and almost as fast to get to.

My experiance was nothing but /ooc gimps yelling at each other, I couldn't find a place to duo, I died 3 times to HUGE trains, and CR is a bitch.

I loved it.

This is old school dungeon crawling folks. Top it off with the fact that the zone is beautiful, full of character, and gigantic, and you have the makings of one of the best zones I have seen in EQ in years.

If Veksar is the template for Lost Dungeons of Norrath, it will be the best expansion ever. Btw, rumor has it that it will have more zones than any other expansion up to this point.

Hooked up with a group of guildies and hit this zone as a "drive by" yesterday for a laugh. We had so much fun we didn't leave till the Guild Leader called a raid in PoP.

Definitly one of the better zones to come out in a while. :vv_duel2:

By the looks of it, it is only 5 zones, like LoY expansion is, BUT you are able to trigger different spawn sets in each zone, so there is as many as 40 different sets of possible encounters.
