WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Declassified information obtained by CNN suggests that some U.S. intelligence officials were not so certain that Saddam Hussein's weapons program made him an imminent threat, even as the Bush administration made its case in the months before the war.
A leaked US intelligence report has cast fresh doubt on the coalition claims that Iraq had banned weapons which served as justification for going to war.
basically the Defense Intelligence Agency was very confident that WMD existed in some capacity (munitions shells, etc) in Iraq.
However, they had no evidence that there was any intent or even capability on the behalf of Iraq to actively produce WMD.
So it is arguable if this means that there was no real immenent threat from Iraq. The only thing immenent was the summer and the cost of maintaining the troop deployment in my opinion.
but since this is all summary of classified info and none of it will be declassified, who knows.
Give it up Cart. The Bush Administration lied about WMD. You believed them and you were decieved. Not that you'll care. But then again, that's what they're counting on.

I think they are hidden in Iran.
Well.... that is such a remote possiblity, i wouldn't even try to speculate that one further than any other possiblilty. I think Irag DID have WMD, but in such small quantites, it not only made Bushes arguemnt for going to war a complete joke, but it also made said weapons very easy to get rid of when deemed necessary. Yes, Saddam and his sons were/are cruel and evil people..but what about N Korea, which is a much greater nuclar threat, and is flaunting its powers, and implying how far they will go? It's time we all faced it, Iraq was invaded for purely political/economic reasons, and had little to do with the saftey of the free world.
