Summertime Songs

Post by Sylvus »

Because I'm horribly bored at work, and now that it's finally not winter in Michigan (yay!), which songs remind you all of summer?

For me:
Stone Temple Pilots "Plush"
Blind Melon "No Rain"

Both of those songs were popular in the summer of '93, which was one of the most fun times of my life. Just hearing them makes me happy and thinking of good weather.

How about you?

I was just in a coversation about "Boys of Summer" today. The conversation was about all the different remakes there are, which stemmed from The Atari's new remake of it. The best I would have to say is the Don Henley one, closely followed by, if not matched by DJ Sammy's.

Uncalm by 311. The album that it's on came out a couple weeks into the summer and I listened to it non-stop for the entire summer. For some reason that song just reminds me of the summer more than the other ones.
