Random Act

Post by rhyae »

In my three years of playing EQ, no once, not ever has someone seen a corpse of mine and sent me a tell and asked "need a rez?" ....
until this weekend.
I had a body in pofire, holding a modrod warm for me, and I get a tell from a cleric who is a total stranger saying "you need this body rezzed?" or something like that, and it was Pyrella!
A random act of kindness.
It was just very nice, and I appreciated it.
:smilecolros:

Thanks!
I spose I coulda just sent a PM but then I dont get new Thread VV's :D

Nothing brightens a mood faster than a random act of kindness like this.

Pyrella sucks, thwarted my world domination by resetting it!!

Or maybe I should be hating Samila or Swoned. A good 50% of the time I've seen Pyrella in game it was really one of those two.

I used to do that whenever I saw a corpse with gear on it....I'd do a /who on thier name to check if they were on-line or after I had epic I'd simply take a second and click it.

Unless they had pissed me off in the past or were one of the self-centered solo-types...you know the begs virtue, kei, rez from me often, never will join my group because they get better exp solo...but then complain about thier uselessness.

I wouldn't travel to rez though....well I'd travel in-zone for clerics and stick them and thier group....but not for random people...they would have to drag to me (or my puller if it was in his approx pull area) and if I saw a empty group slot and a cleric LFG I would make a suggestion they grab him.

And it was real rare for me to cross a zone line unless I was bored and groupless.

Sometimes I would buff them afterwards, depending on my mana levels and pull situation....usually that involved full enc buffs, but often cleric buffs would have to be overlooked....Pils would usually have less mana than citra (often citra was just there for my KEI and my melee's haste heh, I'd drop her if we didn't need mez and had a shaman..that's why she was 120 AA's behind pils even though pils lost more exp on raids..I avoided duel box on raids when possible).

I /who the corpse's owner almost everytime I'm at a GY anywhere in PoP. Never know the next rez you give could be the next good group you get.

Yeah and also sometimes I would die, and the more people who liked me the easier it was to get a rez, people would instantly send me tells saying they were dragging the corpse to thier groups cleric....because I rez'd that puller the day before or somethign and he saw we wiped.

Karma.

The other night in Planetside, there was a guy who was TKing me.

Pyrella swooped in with his Galaxy Dropship (think C-130), and landed on him smashing him, not once, but 3 times. :)

I love Pyrella. :)
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

Ah, if you all ever knew how many times Pyrella has done that to almost every corpse he came upon, long before he ever got his clicker even. :D

Yep, it is easy to become jaded in this game, even though it is a game... good to see things like this :)
