"UNITED NATIONS — The U.N. Security Council (search) lifted economic sanctions on Iraq Thursday, giving U.N. support to U.S. and British control of the country until a democratic government is installed, and clearing the way to rebuild the country with oil revenues.

The council voted 14-0 in favor of the U.S. resolution to lift the sanctions, which were imposed on Saddam Hussein's (search) regime in 1990. The 15th council member, Syria, did not attend. "

Don't be stupid. The Oil for Food^H^H^H^H^H^H^H revenue will be spent enriching those in power and preserving the status quo, not helping the plight of ordinary US citizens!

Much like the previous situtation :P

Not really, because Bush and his cronies know that the price of gas is inversely realted to his chances of re-election

If premium is still over 2 bucks a gallon, I won't vote for him.

Its only 1.65 for prem. gas here in florida. Im sure its a lil less driving up the Eastern side of the Us.

Looks like where ever its 2 dollars at. Is exploting the people.Didnt Cali do that with the Power Corp and get sued? To me it seems the same thing.

The explanation i've heard for prices in california is because of all the extra bullshit they have to do to it to meet emmissions requirements.. wether thats true or not thats what i was told..

its also the reason prices in Arizona are high is because they import most of their gasoline from california.. again what i was told.. wether its true or not i don't know.

i pay 149 for regular and 169 for premium..

i don't use premium because because regular meets the octane requirements of my vehicle... if your using premium and your car doesn;t require that octane rating your basically throwing money away..
