Who will break the lifetime homerun record...

Post by Spangaloid_PE »

i decided to break up the depressing monotany that is the current events forum and post something that isn't so depressing...

so who do you think will break Hank Aarons record of 755 dingers?

my bets are on Juan Gonzales. arguebly the most underrated slugger in baseball. constantly hits em out the park year in and year out.

While I agree that Juan Gonzalez is one of the most underrated hitters in the game, I don't think his health and age will allow him to break the record. I personally think it's between Sammy and Alex.

I don't think Juan has any shot at 755. If I remember correctly, he's only in the 300's now, and he's relatively old. His body is breaking down too, he missed a lot of time last year.

A-Rod looks like he should be able to do it, but then, everyone thought Ken Griffey Jr was a lock 5 years ago.

Sammy and Barry just need their bodies to keep holding up as they get older.

Juan Gonzales is a year younger than Sosa/Bagwell and 5 years younger than Bonds...has 419 homers.

none of the above!!

long live the Hammer!

Bonds has a chance, and so does ARod.

Bagwell does not. Sosa does not. Palmeiro really does not.

None of them will.

Then again, who really gives a fuck, baseball is dead. Have they even sold out a single game this season? Yanks don't even get 50% attendance, and they're number 1!!!

Baseball needs a cup check. Fuckers ruined the game, the atmosphere, all of it...gone.
