OMG HI FUTURE NEIGHBOR!Dregor Thule wrote:Providence, RI. I think the quiz is inherently flawed tho, Little Rock made my list somehow, and I'd sooner amputate my arm with a pocket knife than live in Arkansas.
I would have to agree - while Providence came in first and looks ok, my 2nd and 3rd picks were Eugene and Corvallis, OR - and after living in Eugene for 2 years back in my college days, I can honestly suck yuck, fuck that!

Ok how eery, I just did this and it came up with my home town in Arkansas as number one, I nearly fell out of my chair, apparently my entire quota of living matched the town perfect, but they didn't have the "no redneck" option so *shrug*

Providence made #6 on my list - little surprise there, as I grew up in the next town over. Providence, btw, has turned into a really nice small city - it doesnt surprise me in the least that it made so many people's lists.
I scored lots of Wisconsin hits, New England hits, Oregon hits, and even the odd one in New Mexico and Nevada. I guess I am not that fussy, heh

Cincinnati, Ohio The Queen City
This big Ohio city with the small-town feel is home to baseball's first professional team: the Reds started in 1869…
Population: 1,650,000 | Average Home Price: $150,000 | Precipitation: 39" | Snow: 19"
.......
Lived in a bunch of different spots, when I could move anywhere, I chose to come back to Cinci.
Granted family was part of it, but it wasn't number one on the list they gave me either. It was like #7....suprisingly enough a lot of the cities listed I have visited....and they were pretty accurate regarding my tastes.
Like #4 Chattanooga, I could definately see myself spending some time there. I lived 2 hours from there when I was in Atlanta, but I always drove through it, even spent a couple days there white water rafting and such, I liked the area.

CA was the best state I ever left, what a pile. More rude assholes than I've seen anywhere else, including NYC and Boston. The cost of living is ridiculous, and the public education system sucks ass. I was so happy when my 18 months of puragatory there ended.
Anyway, it popped up two locations in semi-rural FL, one each in coastal GA, SC and TX as choices. I've lived in all but TX and was perfectly happy
*Edit - Top choice was ~50 miles north of where I live now, number 2 was straight across the state on the East coast. Maybe 80 miles away.
I like it where I am now too, ~25 miles SE of Tampa, though Charleston SC was probably my favorite place I've ever lived.
