Got hit on a couple times before by guys. It didn't bother me. After all, I was playing pool at a gay bar while waiting for my bud to get off work(he was a barkeep there).

Interesting bar. They had "The Birdcage" on all the monitors and a very large Beefeater Gin neon sign. I ended up losing the 9-ball game to a very burly biker-chick in leather. *shrug*

Personally doesn't bother me...though day before yesterday I was out running errands in my car (windows down, sunroof open) and some 40 - 50 year old guy in a suburban was trying to pick me up. Wouldn't have been such a big thing if he hadn't followed me for like 5 miles...

Sorta creaps a guy out...

Don't ask, don't tell, Spang!

Compliment: Unless he tried to touch me in an innapropriate way, which isn't going to happen because gay people are really just normal people with a different sexual preference, not weird sex criminals.

I would most definitely take it as a compliment. Women are the most picky as far as what defines attractiveness.

Happened to me a few times....I took it as a compliment.

Although it made me uncomfortable as all hell....one guy used the "do you come here often?" line and then scooted his chair closer to me and put his hand on my knee, that's what I get for letting a friend talk me into going to a bar I thought was a gay bar. He insisted that it was only gay on like weds or something...wrong.

That's one of the top 15 most uncomfortable moments in my life. I don't mind gay people...what they do is thier business...just I'm not to the point where hitting on me is cool. Doesn't make me wanna kick thier ass, but does make me uncomfortable.

That is a most interesting question considering your currently deployed.

Look man I KNOW how it is I've done several tours, both in Kuwait and Saudi. It gets lonely and all that just go buy some Jerk err Jergens from the Shoppette/BX and a Maxim and you'll be just fine.

Or I guess you could pull off that sweaty sock and show it how much it means to you.

Either way have fun....

If they continued to ask me out or whatever, I'd just tell them that I was flattered but I'm happy with my guy. :)

Oh girl, you haven't hung out with the fags I have. They are the most fun to be around by far, but man can they be shallow & catty! :D

Besides most lesbians I've known aren't exactly into looks that much, to say it nicely.

Wow no kidding women in the military. I'll have to let my military wife know about that. Thanks for the info.

Just left there in December and yes I remember there were females there. All 1:1000 ratio but lemme guess your such a pimp you have them all over you like those sand gnats that are so much fun right?

I used to work in a warehouse in Minneapolis... I had one of the "permanent" jobs, I was in charge of the receiving desk.

Unknown to me when I started my job there, this place was a "starting point" for gays that just moved from the backwoods into "TEH BIG CITY"...

There were about 30 employees and only about 3 of us are straight, the rest were all gay. The jobs they filled were very high turnover, so once they got on their feet and got settled into a place with a regular paycheck, they would move on to better jobs.

Man, some of those guys were really quite decent... some were absolutely fuckin freaks... For the most part, just about every guy that started at the job would hit on me during their first week at work...

I got used to it rather quickly, and word got out pretty fast that I was straight and it became a non-issue.

I used to be pretty cool about the whole thing... then Ex-Wife Number One decided to jump out of teh closet and go "Dyke" on me and took off for Texas... this has forever changed me and my tollerance for gays. I can't stand to be in the immediate presence of anyone that I know or even think is gay, and this applies to males and females. Oh well... shit happens.

Compliment.

I've been hit on by plenty of gay men. I've been groped by drunk gay men, then again, i've been groped by drunk straight men ;)

Why not take it as a compliment? what logical reason would there be to take it as an insult?

Compliment. I get hit on by guys OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS, doesn't bother me. The only thing I dont like is when I tell them I'm straight and they say stuff like, "If you say so..." sarcastically.

I can be accepting of different sexual preferences/orientations, but sometimes, it seems that nobody accepts my 'straightness.'

Two years ago at a big club (college town), a guy kept hitting on me, even after I told him that I was straight/not interested. I'm pretty sure alcohol was in effect. When I wasn't paying attention he came up behind me and grabbed my junk and said "You know you want me." So I turned around and decked him... I know it was a bad choice to react that way, but I figured his behavior was inappropriate after over an hour of me telling him 'no thanks.'

The incident earned me the 'gay hater' nickname with my friends who saw it.

Doesn't matter if he was gay or straight... you politely turned him down.. and he proceded to 'assault' you. His behavior was inappropriate.

If a girl came up to me after I politely turn them down and grabbed my breasts or whatever (which actually happened but I was too shocked at the time, and well it's a whole other story), I'd be pissed too.

Doesn't matter if the person is straight or gay... if the touchy feely is not wanted, it's assault.

I find it funny that a lot of (straight) guys I know claim to have been hit on by a gay guy and a very typical statement is "I don't mind them as long as they don't hit on me". I know more than a handful of gay men and I know it's not very typical of them to be hitting on guys they know to be straight (if you're in a gay club/bar, you can't blame them for assuming). I think in general if a gay guy says "hi" or is friendly or polite to a straight guy, the straight guy would be like "dude, that guy just hit on me".

Back on topic: straight or gay, if a person has good taste and they come on to me, I take it as a compliment.

If the first time a gay approached me ahdn't been exactly the opposite of what you imply, maybe it wouldn't creep me out so much.

Edit: removed my comments...legs beat me to it.

Basically yeah, if I grabbed a woman's tits I'd expect a punch to the face. The fact he is drunk or gay isn't a proper defense for sexual assault.

I hope you knocked his teeth out.

Not to mention that gay guys wouldn't really hit on someone they "think" is gay, considering there is the off chance of getting the shit beaten out of you and in my case, still being in highschool, although I may have gaydar, I doubt I would act on any of my inclinations on the off chance I'm wrong and it becomes weird heh

Compliment. None of my close friends are gay, but in certian circles, I know OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS of gay men. That environment is very casual and relaxed. It was great to be able to ask gay men questions face to face about love, sex, and the life of being gay. It really helped me become more comfortable around gays and kinda understand where they are coming from. Not that I was truley uncomfortable around gay men to begin with. /shrug

GAY DUDES RULE!!!!

More women available for me that way, best case scenario is all men but me and NFL players turning gay!!

Football and Lots of Lonely Women!!

/em this had been a public service announcement and does not indicate that I am currently seeking a significant other, merely that I think gay dudes have the right to do what they want, as long as they do not demand "equal rights" and mean "special rights"
